"A separation", mejor película del año para la BBC

La película iraní "A separation" ha ganado este año el premio al mejor film de la BBC, un galardón que concede un jurado especializado que destaca al mejor film del año en lengua no inglesa. El premio en sí es modesto pero se une al aplauso unánime que ha logrado la película entre la crítica. Los últimos ganadoras de este premio han sido "The White Ribbon", "4 months, 3 weeks y 2 days" y "El laberinto del fauno".

Simin y Nader, un matrimonio con una hija, deciden abandonar Irán en busca de una vida mejor. Sin embargo, en el último momento él se echa atrás debido a que a su padre le han diagnosticado Alzheimer y no quiere abandonarlo. Ella pide entonces el divorcio y, al no serle concedido, se muda a vivir con sus padres. Él, que se queda con la niña, decide contratar a una mujer que le ayude a cuidar a su padre. Pero un día, al llegar a casa, encuentra al anciano atado a su cama; a partir de ese momento, tanto su vida como la de la niña darán un vuelco. La película es una de las favoritas para ganar este año el Oscar a la mejor película de habla no inglesa.
